📅 Typical Next-Day Passport Pickup Travel Plan
- Day 1: Arrive in Mexico
- Day 2: ASC (Biometrics & Digital Photo).
- Note: For children under 7 years, carry printed photos to ASC.
- Day 3: Mandatory gap of 48 hours between ASC & visa interview (sometimes 2–4 days gap).
- Day 4: Visa Interview (Consulate)
- Day 5: Passport Pickup (timing depends on location). Our transport team can drop you at the border or airport.
- Day 5/6/7: Travel back to the U.S.
📍 Location-Wise Passport Pickup Timelines
- Nogales → In Majority of the cases from last few months as per Sep 2025 – same day passport pickup at 3 PM.
- Tijuana, Hermosillo → Usually next-day pickup at 3 PM.
- If flights depart after 8 PM, you may fly same day; otherwise, book next day.
- These 3 locations are considered most reliable for quick passport return.
- Monterrey → Good for all visa categories.
- Next-day 3 PM pickup upon request (orange slip issued).
- If given DHL slip, passport takes 2–3 days.
- Mexico City →
- For Friday interviews, expect passport on Tuesday/Wednesday or later (due to DHL).
- If given Red/Pink sticker or expedited pickup slip, pickup is usually next day at the consulate.
- If given DHL form, pickup is at ASC location after DHL email (usually 2–5 business days after status shows “Issued”).
- Nuevo Laredo →
- Pickup next day at consulate (in many cases).
- If given DHL slip, pickup at DHL after 3–5 days.
- Rarely, same-day pickup possible if VO approves your request.
- Merida → Allowed limited 3rd country nationals as of July 2023, but unstable location. Passport return takes 4–5 business days. (As of 2024–2025, no new slots).
- Hermosillo → Started non-emergency slots in June 2022.
